What is Hırsız Kim? ©

It is a board game designed to enhance children’s interest in science by presenting scientific concepts within the framework of an engaging detective story.


It aims to equip children with the ability to comprehend cause-and-effect relationships, improve attention and analytical skills, interpret scientific data, develop strategic thinking, and exercise logical reasoning

DNA Gel Electrophoresis Method

In the board game Hırsız Kim? © children record and evaluate the fingerprints and DNA data belonging to the thief found in the evidence collected from the crime scene. Then, by comparing the DNA and fingerprints taken from the suspects with the data they have gathered, they try to determine who the thief is.

The DNA Gel Electrophoresis method is a widely used technique in the analysis of DNA molecules. This method relies on observing the differences in migration distances as electrical energy passes from one charge to another, which are influenced by the molecular weight of the DNA. Gel electrophoresis is also employed as a method in DNA matching.

How to play?

In the game developed for six players, participants conduct an investigation based on the evidence collected from the crime scene.


The evidence includes DNA, fingerprints, and shoeprints belonging to the thief. The thief’s DNA is obtained from hair, saliva, and blood samples.


Players advance on the game board by rolling dice, perform the actions indicated on the squares they land on, and the first player to identify the thief wins the game.

6 kişi olarak geliştirilen oyunda, oyuncular olay yerinden toplanan kanıtlar üzerinden bir araştırma yürütürler.


Olay yerinde bulunan kanıtlarda hırsıza ait DNA, parmak izi ve ayakkabı izi örnekleri bulunmaktadır. Hırsıza ait DNA; saç, tükürük ve kan örneklerinden alınmaktadır.
